Traditional 10" Pre-Filter Clear Housing
(Housing Only)
Select a Filter Cartridge tailored to your water filtration
requirements.
Removing some materials from your water that are
not discarded through the Ionization process or removed
by the Biostone Filter, may require installation of a Pre-Filter.
Before installing any Pre-Filter, it is recommended that you
acquire a water condition report from your local authority or a
testing specialist. Not everyone needs a pre-filter, however, every
household's water is different and people react differently to
water contents.
Some
common conditions for which people use pre-filters:
- Soften
Hard Water – high content of calcium and/or magnesium can cause
scaling or buildup in pipes. Water Ionizers need to be protected
from scale buildup
-
Arsenic Removal – removes virtually all arsenic from water
- Remove
Fluoride - while the Biostone Filter removes approximately 60% of
Fluoride and Chlorine, some people want virtually all these
elements removed
- Iron -
Iron, at a high level, can inhibit water from becoming alkaline.
Additionally, while considered safe, Iron bacteria can build up in
filters and cause odors
When
ordering a canister there are three important things to order with

or "High Pressure" (1/8" inner diameter hose) adapters.
