Every living cell within our body creates waste products. The nutrients from our food are delivered to each cell and they burn with oxygen to provide energy for us to live. The burnt nutrients are the waste products. Whether you eat the best of food or the worst, all foods generate waste product. Food is classified as either good or bad based on the amount and quality of the waste product it produces. What happens to the alkaline water once it reaches the stomach, which is highly acidic?
In order to help digest food and kill bacteria found in our foods, our stomach produces acid (pH of 4). When we intake alkaline water, the ph level in the stomach rises. The stomach detects the alkaline water and commands itself to produce more acid, bringing the ph level back to 4. At first, this seems counter-productive. Our stomach wall naturally churns and produces hydrochloric acid in order to digest and process the food we consume; therefore, the cells in the stomach must produce hydrochloric acid as it’s needed. The ingredients to make the acid are carbon dioxide, water, sodium chloride and/or potassium chloride. The by-product of this acid is sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate delivered to the blood stream. These bicarbonates are the actual alkaline buffers that neutralize excess acid in the blood as well as dissolving it. As our bodies age and accumulate more acid waste, the natural alkaline buffers produced in the body are insufficient to offset the acid build up. Our body retains a slightly above required alkaline level in order to survive. Our blood ph level is 7.4 and the cellular fluid level is about 7.2. The secret is to convert some of the solid acid into liquid acid since liquid is easier for the body to dispose of than solid. Caveat: Acid coagulates blood! A problem derived from accumulation of acid waste. Built up of these acid waste clogs the blood vessels and can stop blood circulation. Our organs cannot function properly without good blood circulation. Without blood, our organs become malnourished and they begin to fail. Even cancer cells are acidic which then makes it difficult to grow in an alkaline environment. When phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid result from oxidation of nutrients, the potency of its acids overwhelm the body. The body subsequently compensates by removing calcium from the bones. Well, if calcium is taken from our bones, what is left to hold ourselves up? No wonder one in four Americans suffer from osteoporosis.
